We are not aware of any other membership or community that fulfills similar purchasing or event arrangements, combined with the same level of world privileges. Also, we are not aware of a service, private club, or community that gifts its members with so-called ‘halo’ high-value products and experiences. For those who become members, they immediately benefit. The AMERA membership unlocks valuable privileges that can be used across retail, travel and tourism and hospitality – this includes luxury items for men and women [and those who identify otherwise] fashion, consumer products, air travel, hotels, villas, and more. Subject to arrangement, members can even use their privileges at restaurants, bars, and evening entertainment venues.
In a word … No! At our core, AMERA is all about the delivery of privileges to people from all walks of life. Reflected by our diverse community, this includes those who are students that might be sensitive to purchasing decisions to those who have significant financial resources. AMERA is committed to being an asset to all its members – to provide privileges and finessed experiences across age groups, personal finances, requirements, and continents.
Our application process primarily serves four key purposes – privacy, growth, diversity, and the integrity of the community. The utmost consideration is given to current and prospective members, discretion, and support required. These significant values underpin AMERA membership and its code of conduct. In order to ensure you and the entire community are protected by these values, an application and vetting process is both valuable and important. The application process highlights expectations and obligations and is integral to maintaining an exclusive and selective community. The application process also serves to ensure the community remains diverse and continues to grow with quality members.
No… A gateway to join the community is the ‘Gold' membership. It has some restrictions and has a registration, not, an application process. Registration shares common elements of administration including creating a profile for you by capturing contact information, your preferred brands, products, services, nominated stores, authorised dealers (ADs), boutiques, salons etc. To apply for full and premium memberships 'Gold Plus+' and Platinum applicants must be nominated by an existing member or by invitation only.
Yes and no! It is important to know all registrations and applications are considered on an individual basis. Scrutiny and selection will always consider the Equality Act 2010 in the United Kingdom. Together with guidance from the Government Equalities Office and Equality and Human Rights Commission. In addition, the formalities expressed and implied in various jurisdictions will also form the foundation of our processes. Though code of conduct obligations exist, to thrive and evolve, individualism is what counts.
It's a secret!... Only joking! Once your completed application is received, there is an approval committee that considers and reviews all applications – more about the committee later. The process is normally completed within 2-3 weeks. Applicant names are removed as well as any identifying information for assured privacy and equity. Applications are then measured against specific criteria by each committee member – now this is a secret!
If successful, you will then be assigned an AMERA Ambassador or Regional Advocate.
‘Split decisions’ – With an even number of committee members, there may be occasions where split decisions occur. Referred to as a ‘hung application’ or ‘hung committee’, in these instances, applications are sent to the Group CEO's office for the deciding vote. Otherwise, the Office of the CEO has no active involvement, or engagement, or shall interfere with committee decision-making activities.
Spanning various locations worldwide, the members' approval committee are representative of the community they serve as well as the membership tiers and member services offered. To foster inclusion opportunity and diversity, AMERA committee members are identified and selected to ensure that all applications are considered without bias or favour.
Committee members remain anonymous to the public and to another committee members. Further, committee members never divulge their active or historic seat on the approval committee.
Yes … AMERA presents membership tiers, each one with specific privileges and purchasing restrictions. As members progress up the tiers, there are fewer restrictions and increasing levels of access and privileges.
The receipt of your purchase is driven by a number of factors. These include your specific requirements and availability. Once you advise us of what you would like to purchase, and the preferred delivery or point or collection; aligned to your membership – we will then confirm the price comparing the direct purchase with your privilege. Once your payment is confirmed, delivery or collection instructions will be arranged and advised without delay.
Yes … but! Though we encourage you to enjoy yourself – which may include taking and posting pictures of our events on social media – you should take care to ensure that primarily – any picture taken is respectful to the privacy of both you and your fellow members. Ideally, members and their guests will restrict pictures to capturing the essence of the event, general scenery – images of you, and those in your group. If you inadvertently capture other members, you should consider deleting the image. At some AMERA events, there will be an official photographer or videographer. For security reasons, at some events, respecting cultural norms and sensitivities will be enforced by no phones, cameras or recording devices being permitted.
Of course, you can make purchases to gift to your family and friends as you choose. In addition, successfully introduce a friend, and both you and the person you recommend will benefit. Across the community collectives, there are defined terms and conditions and privileges including; group benefits and named friend or family access.
If after holding an annual membership for the full uninterrupted 12-month term, during which time you have not made any purchases through or used any AMERA privileges or services, your membership will automatically be extended up to one month for free. You will be credited with an amount up to your current monthly membership fee which you are free to use as you choose.
For your convenience, there are options to pay monthly. Across all membership tiers, from the date of joining, members will receive one introductory package per collective – per 12 calendar month cycle. If moving to a higher-priced collective within a 12-month period, the member will receive a new tier joining package.
On occasions, there has been a compelling reason for AMERA to partially- or fully compensate new members who are leaving their concierge or lifestyle service. With no guarantee, conditions may apply. As a starting point, you should be no more than 90 days or 50% into your current term.
The traditional route to premier membership privileges is to join through the Gold or Gold Plus+ membership. Well-structured for most new members, and with flexible payment options these present a good introduction to how AMERA works and the various member benefits available. However, we recognise individual requirements may exceed this. In these instances, a current premier member can submit a nomination or recommendation on your behalf – equally, you can submit a direct application stating the merits of why you should be considered for a premier membership. All applications are considered on merit.
It has not happened yet! However, if it should, we will be way ahead of the situation with your best interests and a solution.
The origins of AMERA can be traced back to providing additional benefits to our aircraft charter passengers while they were on the ground. This included hotel, restaurant, and nightclub table reservations, surface transportation, and arranging enhanced purchasing experiences at favoured boutiques. Also, working with boutiques to arrange 'closed-to-public' shopping.
Today, AMERA access has been opened to a wider audience. Our philosophy remains the same as it was in 2011 - including "never identifying or comparing what is offered by others!"
We concentrate on delivering on our agreements and being highly protective and supportive of our members. This focus has been the success of AMERA with members notably appreciating the path to becoming a member, exclusivity and anonymity.
